ABOUT
third-culture kid + award-winning filmmaker + expeditions
My love has always been the world — we live in a place of wonderment and difficulty, peace and chaos, life and death. With 36+ countries under my belt, growing up as a third-culture kid, and being a lover of all things wild, the promise of adventure attracted me to pursue a career in this ever-growing media industry.
I’ve had the chance to work on several projects, from Buddhist monks to bayous, history to hip hop, politics to poetry. From DIT work on remote expeditions and assistant editing on Emmy Award-winning documentaries and 4+ years with National Geographic Partners to grassroots efforts in D.C, I am always looking for new opportunities to expand my horizons and develop my skillsets from pre-production, production, and post-production.
In 2021, I launched a freelance documentary film company, Cactus Box Films LLC, that specializes in cinematography to generate wonder, whimsy, and gritty eco-optimism for cultural and social advancement.
I can offer research and writing; editing solutions and suggestions; terra firma filming, time-lapse, underwater, and aerial videography. Part 107 Drone certification completion expected this year!
